One of the most exciting activities we provide for our members are the frequent monthly presentations on a range of topics of interest to our members. In 2017 we had two visits from Dr Pedro Vital, researcher and lecturer at Bolton University who gave a most interesting presentation on some of the latest research undertaken. Bolton Adult Autism Support were delighted to attend a gathering of local charities at the Old Links Golf Course on May 10th when the charities were each presented with a cheque by Marjorie Hayward, President of Bolton Lever Rotary Club.

Graham Heywood, Chairman of BAAS told the gathering that he was delighted to accept the cheque on behalf of BAAS and said that the money would be spent on a much needed refurbishment of the charity’s pop-up banners.

In September 2016 our Charity changed its name in from Bolton Adult Asperger Support  to  Bolton Adult Autism Support, whilst retaining the BAAS logo.

This is in line with the growing trend of health professionals to recognize that Asperger Syndrome is but one condition amongst many on the Autism Spectrum and further, it reflects our outward looking and all-embracing vision for the improvement of the lives of adults/young adults and their families.
